EC CHARGES MAHAMA TO PROVIDE EVIDENCE ON BALLOTS ALLEGATIONS.

When Former President John Mahama lost the December 7,2020 general elections. He then criticised the Electoral Commission of not ensuring fairness in the election as he said " millions of fake ballots papers were stuffed into the boxes across the country during the election.


The Electoral Commission finally responds that those allegations aren't true.


The Electoral Commission, Ghana (EC) has called on former President John Dramani Mahama to provide evidence of claims that about one million ballots were stuffed into boxes across the country during the December 7, 2020 elections.


The Commission said the statements by the Former President, Mahama, who stood for the National Democratic Congress Party (NDC) in the December 7th elections, are “untrue”.


“This is a grave matter that undermines the credibility of our electoral process and should not be ignored,” a Deputy Commissioner in charge of Corporate Services, Dr Eric Bossman Asare, told journalists at a press conference on October 25th 2021_Monday


“We call on [John Dramani Mahama] to provide evidence to support this claim,” he demanded.


“This is not a matter that should be ignored and we call on the Ghana Police Service to investigate.” he added.


The Electoral Commission is calling on Mr Mahama to provide evidence to those allegations against the Electoral Commission.
